Welcome to TFR Consulting, which I founded in 2006, after a career as an experienced HR Director operating at strategic HR Director level with blue chip organisations within the manufacturing industry. Previously I have held management positions in Quality Assurance, Production, Logistics and Transportation and of course Human Resource Management and Development.

Since 2013 I am also a Senior Teaching Fellow with Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, as well as a visiting lecture for Birmingham City University.

I and my associates are accustomed to working as business partners at Board level and senior management levels to develop effective HR strategy, processes and programmes to support the business strategy and deliver the business objectives for change through the people employed, within local, national and international operations. Projects we have managed range from Business Re-engineering multi site operations to Management Coaching and Employee Development, from Rationalisation of Operations and Product Transfer Programmes to Performance Appraisal, Employee Development and People Management processes.

Whilst qualified to, and capable of, developing strategic direction and HR solutions for any business need, we can also be ‘hands on’ when and where necessary to ensure the delivery of project goals and objectives through the appropriate people within the business. We ensure we communicate clearly, professionally and effectively at all levels of an organisation and can offer considerable experience in developing or leading consultation and negotiation processes with employee representatives or senior officers of Trade Unions in order to achieve change and resolution of employee relations matters.

We insist on, and maintain high professional ethics as Chartered Fellows of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and hold a belief in, and pursue, continuous professional development.
